Student Opportunities

New England Symposium for Speech-Language Professionals is Looking for Students

NESSLP is an innovative continuing education event geared for speech-language professionals from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.  The event will provide sessions from three different tracks and an Exhibit Hall with recruiters and vendors.

NESSLP will also have the following opportunities for students enrolled in a communication disorders program in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

 

Technical Sessions

Technical Sessions are intended to provide an opportunity for students to present clinical or theoretical research studies to fellow students and professionals. Sessions will take place on Saturday, October 21, are 20 minutes in duration plus a 10-minute question and answer period.

You may submit a Call for Papers to present your research by using the link below.  Submissions are due by September 1.  Students who present will receive $10 off their registration.

NESSLP Praxis Bowl

New England university teams comprised of top-notch students will compete in a praxis bowl format to see which team can answer the most Praxis practice questions correctly.  A free registration for the Praxis exam will be awarded to each member of the winning team. This competition will be held on Friday, October 20.

Student Volunteers

NESSLP is in need of 20 students to help during the event.  Volunteers will either help at the registration desk for up to four hours or attend and monitor up to four sessions.  All volunteers will receive a complimentary registration to NESSLP.

To volunteer, complete the form at the following link by September 20.  Students will be chosen on a lottery basis.
